The first thing I would like to say about this piece is how amazing the color scheme is. The greens, blues, and violets of the foliage in the background are gorgeous and they appear almost luminescent. The overall color choices in this piece show that the artist clearly knows what colors to use to achieve the maximum effect in their compositions, as well as having an understanding of lighting and how to create those effects in their works.

The detail in the character and the clothing she is wearing are beautiful, including the sword and the delicate work that clearly went into the hilt. The blade reflect the light and the colors around it well and the lines of light on the clothing make it look soft or sleek depending on the area. The shading and line work pop the character from the painted background, she looks amazing and is clearly a focal piece. Her expression seems a bit pensive, perhaps from the pose she is holding.

And speaking of the pose, the position she is sitting in would be painful at best. The leg in front is fine, but the one in back makes it look like the spine is bent at a 90 degree angle, something a normal spine simply can't easily do. Though it shows off her lovely derriere, it would not be a natural position to sit in and it would likely hurt quite a bit, if not cause damage to the spine. I tried to achieve that position myself and found it impossible for me and very painful to try. That is the only flaw I could pick out of the piece, which says quite a bit.
